There will be dust…

ClayCox

Any remodeling project has its own quirks. And dust is certainly one of them. To be sure Kitchens by Clay’s clients have a good remodel experience we make sure that we cover the fact that dust will not only be in the kitchen, but even with precautions, may filter to surrounding areas.

However I’m not writing this article about dust I’m writing it about making your remodeling project a pleasant experience by knowing what will take place.

Knowledge is power! Before we contract with our clients we make sure that we discuss all aspects of what the project will entail and the clients are crystal clear as to what to expect and obviously dust is one of those particulars. Another item of significant importance is the schedule. We realize that preparing and reviewing a written schedule with the client is so very important that it may ultimately be the difference as to who they hire for the project. A set schedule, in advance, also insures that the trades involved will be in place and on time. Our objective when we do a thorough advance schedule with our clients is to keep them informed and create “peace of mind.”

We are all fortunate to live in an area that is vibrant and prosperous but client satisfaction should never take a back seat due to being “busy.” To me this is a sad state of affairs. Having a consistent system in place where the client is knowledgeable of the process (including knowing about the “dust”) guarantees a positive outcome. We’ve found that working hard for complete customer satisfaction, even at our busiest, is the best way to proceed and it also enhances the opportunity for that all important “referral.”

So when shopping for your remodel project my advice is to be sure that you are considering not only price but also who will do the best job for you in the coming months. If you’re talking to someone who is experienced and understands that you need to know what the future holds, including something as simple as telling you about the dust, then you’re probably in the right place.
