Fun and Festive Kitchens: Featured on the Life In Naples Magazine Blog

https://lifeinnaples.net/magazinewp/2022/01/26/fun-and-festive-kitchens/Occasionally, we run into a client who, for lack of a better phrase, thinks “outside of the box” and the kitchen shown below is a very good example of this thinking. We were able to work with multiple textures and tones which is very important for our future in designing kitchens since warm wood tones and textures are going to be driving the kitchen designs of the future. But my prediction is that these warm tones and textures will still be just accents and not the primary as I believe light and white painted cabinets will maintain as the popular choice for the bulk of the cabinetry.
The kitchen below proves out my hypothesis as it has all the tones and textures I spoke of above. Starting with the engineered wood floors, combined with the dining room and island chairs that are different from each other but have the wood components needed to compliment the flooring.
Next, we can certainly see the pop of color with the wonderfully bright glass tile backsplash surrounding the window with the cooktop centered below the window. White countertops with a light marbling affect were the perfect choice allowing all the other textures and colors to stand out on their own.
Over to the right we created a “mini bar” with twin built-in wine coolers housing close to 200 wine bottles. Of course, the bright backsplash was carried over to this area so that the two spaces, kitchen and bar, are pulled together by this common element.
Lastly, this is another great example of the twin island concept that is a winner in a kitchen large enough to fit them. The working island over by the window houses the sink and dishwasher among other great storage items. The backside of this island has tons of extra storage. The island closest to us is an entertainment or seating island for your comfort and pleasure. Both islands are 10 feetlong and can accommodate more seating than pictured, if needed, making room for more family and friends.
Enjoy your home!
